Bashanta Diner Gaan Tagore musical concert by Shama Rahman
Shama Rahman, one of the leading Tagore artistes of the country, performed in a solo musical programme titled "Bashanta Din-er Gaan" at Bengal Gallery, on March 7, says a press release.
With flowers blooming all around, sprouting greenery from the tender branches; unbridled waves of wind from the south and impatient sweet songs of cuckoos, Shama rendered selective songs on spring of Tagore on the occasion.

Baul Shah Abdul Karim Festival 2010
The two-day Shah Abdul Karim Festival organised by Shah Abdul Karim Committee ended on Saturday at Ujandhol village under the Upazila of Dirai in Sunamganj.
The programme began on Friday with a discussion on the life of Shah Abdul Karim. Local member of the parliament Matiur Rahman, Shah Abdul Karim Festival committee president Mosharraf Hossain and Shah Noor Jalal, son of the baul samrat, among others, addressed the audience at the opening session.

Two-day Baul fair ended in Chuadanga
A two-day Baul fair ended at a remote village in Sarishadanga in Chuadanga on Friday night. The event, organised by Bishu Shah Baul Academy (BSBA) was held at the academy premises. Devotees from adjacent areas of Jheniah and Kushtia district assembled at the fair.

National Rabindra Sangeet Convention in Jessore

Anima Roy’s latest album Ami Chitrangada released
Promising singer Anima Roy's latest solo album [featuring Tagore songs] "Ami Chitrangada" was launched recently. The album has been produced under the banner of Laser Vision and features eleven songs. Renowned Human rights activist and cultural enthusiast Advocate Sultana Kamal unveiled the album as the chief guest.
